Tin Lead
Description
During this electrolytic process, tin and lead metal are deposited as an
alloy on the surface of the base metal. See application.
Post Finish
No post finishes are available for this process.
Rack or Barrel
The tin-lead process is normally performed on a racking line. A barrel line is
available for smaller parts.
Special Treatment
A range of special treatment options are available. For tin-lead, the
popular options are hydrogen embrittlement and masking.
Maximum Size
The plating tank size is 10 x 4.5 x 3ft.
Thickness
Range from flash (less than one-tenth) to 1 thou (0.001 inch).
Specification
ASTM, MIL, QQ or to customer specifications
Base Material
This process can be performed on most base metals. There are special processes for
plating on aluminum
and bronze.
