Post Finish
Popular finishes for this process includes clear and yellow and other finishing
colors.
Rack or Barrel
This process is normally performed on a racking line. A barrel line is a less
expensive option available for smaller parts.
Special Treatment A range of special treatment options are available. For zinc, the popular
options are masking and stripping of previous plating.
Maximum Size
The plating tank size is 14 x 6 x 2 ft for zinc-chloride. For the
automatic udylite machine the maximum size is 1.3 x 3 x 2 ft. For other alloys the maximum
size is 8 x 2.5 x 3 ft. Maximum size for the barrel line is 8 x 2.5 x 3 ft.
Thickness
Range from flash (less than one-tenth) to 1 thou (0.001 inch).
Specification

Base Material
These processes can be performed on most base metals. There are special processes
for plating on aluminum
and bronze.
